2011 Hero Review: Nex 3.0

Hi,
I brought this set online for my brother and he let me review it today so that means he is going to share his opinion at the end. Now lets move onto the review...

The build was the same as all the other hero's and gets an 8/10

The new pieces are on the low side because a lot of the pieces were also in the first Nex. The main new piece is his helmet and its awesome, the eyes are sharp and small compared to other hero's in the wave. He also comes with grey low arm/leg parts which are in a lot of the new hero's. He also has a silver piece which is the base of the weapon and has the possibility of five clips attaching to it. The two blades on the arm are also included on Rocka and fells very flexible. I would give the new pieces a 8/10

The design is great and unlike a lot of other sets this year he comes with two hands and an arm-mounted weapon so that's cool and I wish they would do that with other sets. The colour scheme worked as well as it did before which was great. The design gets a 9/10

The playability is good but needs another hero or villain to increase it. Its a 5/10

Overall, its a great set and goes well with the Savage Planet collection. I enjoy this set and I think it deserves a 10/10

Bellow is my brothers opinion on the set and I would suggest checking that out if you are still unsure about this set so you have two opinions rather than one. If you do not want to and your mind is made up, or even if you were merely reading this for the fun of it, then please comment and follow,

Nex 3.0 Opinion

Hi,
Above is my review of Nex and I would suggest reading that before reading this. This is my brothers opinion of Nex 3.0 and I gave it an astonishing 10/10 and lets see bellow if my brother agrees...

I like his weapon because it fits his character of the sabre-toothed tiger. I also like the helmet because it looks a lot like a tiger. To be honest I cannot think of anything bad about him and rate him a 10/10

That was my brother opinion of Nex 3.0 and until the next review please comment and follow,

2011 Hero Review: Bulk 3.0

Hi,
Its been a while since I've done a review and in the post today I received Bulk 3.0 and now I'm reviewing him so please enjoy...

The build was a basic one but all the hero's are like that so its another 8/10

The new pieces are cool and I really like the chest in silver. He also has the core and head in orange. He also has a cool helmet which is very defining as a wolf unlike Rocka's which didn't look a lot like his animal which is a lion. The feet look really good in silver and I just can't help but give the new pieces a 10/10

The design is cool but it doesn't seem to fit his character. The original Bulk was actually very bulky but the 3.0 version seems a lot more fast and stealthy and honestly not bulky at all. Still, he looks good he just doesn't fit his character so its a rating of 8/10

The playability is, as it always is probably always will be, a 5/10

The overall rating is a good one because I do really like this set it just doesn't fell like Bulk in the essence that he's not as armoured as he should be. In my opinion, Bulk 3.0 gets an overall rating of 8/10

That was my review of Bulk 3.0 and the next review will be on my brothers set, Nex 3.0. Until then, please comment and follow,

Mission 23: Outnumbered (1 of 2)

Mission:
Outnumbered
Team:
Veterans Preston Stormer and Will Furno
Objective:
Track down Rocka and regroup.
Stormer's Log:

Not long after we split up I realized how bad our situation really was. We had been attacked several times and each time they assaulted us in greater numbers. Soon we would be over powered. Despite this thought I'm still fighting on, maybe it was because a fellow heroes life was on the line, or maybe just my pride after all the other missions I went through. Either way I couldn't give up. Furno was still fighting by my side and what kept him going is something different. Furno is the rising star and all eyes are currently on him. After achieving the rank of veteran, Furno had been building up his stature mission by mission. It felt odd to think what would happen when he's been though as many missions as I have a how people would see me at that time, maybe I'd just sit through those little unimportant missions every once in a while, maybe I'll be too old and outdated to still be used as a hero at all, will people even remember my name?
My thoughts were interrupted by Stringer on the communicator. "Stringer to Stormer." He said. "We have a situation."
"This is Stormer." I replied. "What wrong Stringer, was the attack on the mine unsuccessful?"
"No, the mission went well. We returned to the ship to recharge but there is nothing here."
"What do you mean?"
"The ships been stolen."
Furno then butted in and said: "Bad news?"
I then replied saying: "Very."
"What should we do?" Stringer asked with some nerve in his voice.
"Help us search for Rocka." I replied after some thought. "His safety is our number one priority."
"Copy that, Stringer out."
I nodded towards Furno and we kept walking. Our situation had just got a lot worse, and I had a nagging felling that the Witch Doctor was been planning all of this.
Just then a shot narrowly missed my head and exploded a few feet behind me. I looked up and saw a Scorpio emerge. followed by another and another. Counting them all up it was two against eight. Not the odds I enjoy the most but seeing as we were surrounded all we could do was fight our hardest and hope that we would win out. I took some shots and managed to knock out one of them but seven were still at large.
Furno took off into the and while avoiding the shots. He took dive bomb attack and took down another one. He then took aim at one dangerously close to me and shot a wave of shots in his direction and the beast fell.
That left five and I was up a bit of hand-to-claw combat so I charged his fists met mine and it was now up to whoever has the most strength to take the other out. I hoped the power of the White Rhino would come in handy here cause is not I could just forget using my legs tomorrow. Thankfully, I managed to land a successful blow in the face, knocking him clean out. We were halfway there and I thought it was going to be be over any minute now until I looked up and saw that enemy reinforcements had arrived...

2011 Hero Review: Breez 2.0

Hi,
This will be the last review of the 2.0 series and its of Breez 2.0 who my brother got when I got Raw-Jaw. After the review there will be my brothers opinion, as usual, but first I'm going to need to start off with...

... the build, which was really basic after all the others so it gets the same rating of 8/10

New pieces are all seen before in different colours. She does have some green armour pieces and her hero badge in gun-metal. She has two red spikes and a cool visor piece which doesn't look that female but it does have some reminiscence to the old Breez head. New pieces get another 8/10

The design is nice and has the same colour scheme as her original version and seems a lot less armoured making it seem like she doesn't want to much armour to slow her down and she also looks quite streamlined for slicing through the air. The design is great and gets marked down one just because of the hollow back, its a 9/10

Playability is all the same and gets an average 6/10

I think that Breez deserves a high overall rating because off all the reasons above. She is also one of the few 2.0 hero's that don't use the same weapon base which I really like. She looks really cool and I would give her an overall rating of 9/10

I hope you enjoyed to review and please look bellow to see my brothers opinion of Breez and all that's left to say is: please comment and follow,

Breez 2.0 Opinion
Hi,
Above is my opinion of Breez 2.0 and that was a in-depth look but this is just a quick look to add another opinion. I gave Breez 2.0 a 9/10 so now lets see what my bother has to say:

I think that her visor piece is really cool and it fits well with her character. I also like her weapons because they look awesome and are different to the other hero's. I can't give anything bad about Breez and give her a overall rating of 9/10

That was my brothers opinion and I'm not going to be posting for a while so don't expect any posts in the next to weeks as I might not have Internet access were I'm going but if I do I'll post the next part of Mission on Savage Planet but until then, please comment and follow,

New Hero Factory Game!!!

Hi,
On LEGO.com there is a new HeroFactory game called Mission 2: Ordeal of Fire and its the sequel to the Mission:Von Nebula game let out a while ago. Its the same style and you can use characters you made on the Hero Recon Team but you have to order it home and get a code to do that so that is a down side. I've played it a bit but my computer can't work to well with it but it is cool from what I've seen and I'm almost certain its the same controls as the original so I would recommend checking it out. 2011 Villain Review: Raw-Jaw

Hi,
New HeroFactory sets are know in stores and I picked up Raw Jaw. Rocka was brought online and its not uncommon for online stores to have them first but telling you all this isn't what you came here for, you came hear for the review:

The build was basic but felt fresh and different than any other one. The build also has an aid in the design but I will get to that later. I would defiantly say that this is an enjoyable build and I hope that the other Savage Planet villains give the same satisfaction. Build gets a 10/10

The new pieces are great. Again is the re-coloured skeleton pieces in grey which were also seen in Rocka. He has the base for Rocka's weapon but in red so that is cool. He has a red foot which I believe was used on some Ben 10 sets as well but they suit the Savage Planet theme. It also comes with a quaza spike which feels the same way Rocka's spikes did, but I do like the colour of it. He also has cool tusk pieces and they were the thing that put me off buying it at first but they're really not that bad when you get it. He comes with an exclusive printed shell piece which looks cool and has a bit of tubing detail on it. What connects to that piece is his head and that looks cool and you may think that it can attach to the hero head but it can't alone but there probably is a way using some other pieces. The new pieces get a 10/10

The design is great and different, a lot like the build. It also has coverings everywhere unlike all the other sets with hollow parts. The colour scheme is a nice classic red and I give the design another 10/10

The playability is now the same as a hero as the little villains no longer feature a launcher, so its a 5/10

Overall, he's great and looks good has a good design and if you get past those tusks, he's great and a great addition to a Savage Planet collection. It's an overall rating of 9/10

Thats it from me and next will probably be a review of Breez 2.0 so until then, please comment and follow,
